There's No Place Like Rome
In the beginning of the game, players will be limited in the types of characters they can create. As more of the world is introduced, players will be given the option of retiring characters and creating a new character, though this will be discouraged except in case of character death.
As this is a low-magic world, classes with high magic and/or flashy abilities would not exist. For example, without libraries and mage halls to facilitate their learning, wizards are practically non-existent. On the other hand, some arcane classes relate well to the Roman flavor of the campaign, such as Oracles and Witches.
Please keep in mind that overt displays of magic by player characters will be responded to with fear and violence from the general populace.
Please be aware that Archetypes and Alternative Class Features require DM approval.
Characters will be created using the Pathfinder 15-point buy method.
